Happiness Class explores the world of children and teachers in three government schools in Delhi as they make their way through the newly-introduced Happiness Curriculum. Children talk of their fears, stresses and joys, and teachers share their pedagogic experiences in the context of the larger world that both inhabit, to present a complex picture of the possibilities and challenges that lie in implementing a curriculum like this. In a world struggling with the challenges of overcoming conflict, segregation and polarisation, the film asks what the pursuit of happiness really means.
